Teach secondary maths one-to-one in families' homes across Dubai, working to the syllabus the student's school follows.

What you would teach

IGCSE and GCSE maths, including the Foundation and Higher tiers.
A-Level Pure Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics, on the Edexcel, Cambridge and OCR specifications.
IB Mathematics: Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation, at SL and HL, with Internal Assessment guidance and graphic calculator work.

What students usually need

The gap between IGCSE and A-Level is where many of our maths students need the most help, so you should be comfortable rebuilding algebra and method before moving on to new content. Other common requests are students stuck at a C or D who need a clear route to a higher grade, and IB students deciding between HL and SL. Some families also ask for maths and physics together, so say so if you teach both.

The work

One-to-one lessons in person, at the student's home, in Dubai. There is no group or classroom teaching.
We provide transport to lessons.
You plan each student's lessons, assess their progress and give feedback to the student and their family.

What you need

Teaching or tutoring experience in the British or IB curriculum. This is required for this role.
At least 1 academic year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UAE.
A bachelor's degree (any subject).
Strong subject knowledge across the secondary levels you teach, and the ability to explain it clearly.
Fluent English, spoken and written.
A UAE residence visa of your own. We do not sponsor visas for this role.
A MoHRE private tutoring permit. You do not need it to apply: it can be obtained after shortlisting.
You live in Dubai or Sharjah. All lessons are in Dubai.
