From Year 1, the first year of primary school. At Dubai schools that start in August or September, a child starting school in Year 1 must be five by 31 December of that year. If your child is in Reception (FS2), ask us — we discuss younger children case by case. We assess each child before the first session, so the work starts where your child is, not where the year group is.

Yes. One full-time tutor works with your child across all three, so the reading, number and science work are planned together by one person who knows your child. A family can also book one subject only — maths on its own, for example — with the same tutor.

Reading difficulties usually trace back to phonics gaps, comprehension or confidence. Your tutor finds which it is, works on it with structured reading practice and materials your child enjoys, and builds confidence with reading your child can manage before stretching it.

Tell us your child's year group, school, curriculum and community; we match a tutor on curriculum, proximity to your home and your child's needs, and send you their profile and CV before the first lesson, which is a free introductory session. Regular sessions then follow the plan your tutor sets with you.

Yes. Most Dubai primary schools set an entrance assessment from Year 1, and your tutor prepares your child for the format and the skills they test — reading, number and reasoning — in the run-up to the date.
